HOW IT WORKS
For our initial session, we meet in an on-line classroom. We’ll talk about how dogs learn, how we sometimes reward behavior we don’t like and canine body language. We’ll also talk about how to change how dogs feel about the things that worry them. For new puppy clients, we’ll also talk about common puppy issues – puppy biting, housetraining, and puppy socialization during a pandemic. You’ll also see videos of puppy socialization.
WHAT’S THE SAME AS IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION?
WHAT IS DIFFERENT FROM IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION?
ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
We offer private training sessions for puppies and adult dogs. We use modern, effective, dog-friendly methods. And, because our methods are force-free, even young puppies and children can participate. Click on some of the video links below to see our training in action.
There is no “one size fits all” program for every dog or puppy. That makes sense, doesn’t it? All puppies are different and owners’ goals for their dogs vary. There are no contracts. You can pay-as-you-go, or purchase a package of sessions to receive discounted pricing. Our pay-as-you-go pricing is $125 an hour. The first session normally takes 2 hrs ($250 via online invoice). All training packages include the first orientation session, plus additional follow-up sessions of about an hour each. All multi-session training packages include access to the client area of our website. There you will find over 50 instructional videos for reviewing your training exercises and even working ahead. We have sections on impulse control, leash walking, Come! and more.
Why special pricing for puppies younger than 6 months? We discount our professional fees for owners with puppies less than 6 months of age. We want to encourage them to get training while their puppy is still young. It is much easier to teach your puppy good behavior before he’s had a chance to practice “naughty” behavior.
THE FIRST STEP – 2 Hr. Session

Once we’ve answered all your questions on those topics, we’ll teach your puppy how to “say please” by sitting (instead of jumping), “come when called” and impulse control for puppies.
