Group Training Classes

Family Dog Manners
Modern, Effective Training for You & Your Dog

This group class is perfect for adolescent and adult dogs that need to learn “polite” behavior. We work with both ends of the leash, teaching you how to teach your dog how you’d like him to behave. You’ll learn to teach your dog practical skills like settle at your feet or on a mat, come when called with distractions, impulse control with food and toys, and leash manners. We teach you how to make training your dog fun!

Happy dogs make happy owners.

Tired of living with an unruly dog? We can help!
This class will help you teach your dog –

  • Polite behavior on leash
  • How to “Say Please” by sitting
  • Come When Called
  • Impulse Control with Food & Toys

Clicker training – imagine the possibilities! What is clicker or “marker” training and why do zoo-keepers, Guide Dog for the Blind trainers, various military organizations, sports dog professionals, and dog trainers use it? This dynamic (and fun!) course will help answer those questions for you. We’ll start with the first class as an orientation for people only. We’ll discuss what marker training is, why we use it and how dogs learn. We’ll work on some handler mechanics before we start teaching some fun behaviors to your dog during week 2. We’ll all learn about training together as we train behaviors like impulse control, hand targeting, ringing a bell, teaching the dog to trim his own nails and more. Whether you’re new to clicker training or have used a clicker for the basics but would like to put some “new apps on this technology” this course is for you!
