Private, In-Home Training for Dogs of All Ages
Dog training made convenient – in your home. Got puppy problems? An adolescent wild child? Have to teach an old dog new tricks or just teach your dog to walk politely on the leash when there are distractions? Marge and Tracee will create a custom training plan specific to you and your dog’s needs. Even dogs that bark and lunge on leash can learn good behavior. Whether your dog needs basic training or behavior modification, we can help. We’ll work together to improve communication and consistency and set your puppy or dog up for success.

The Road to Success (dogs 6 months and older)
We can teach your adolescent or adult dog polite behavior, both in and outside of the home. We offer a variety of training package options to help you meet your goals and the level of the support you need.
THE FIRST STEP - 2.5 Hour Session
Ideally, this session is for the entire family. Everyone is training the dog each time they interact with him, whether they realize it or not. We want to make sure everyone in the family is teaching good behavior. The first part of the session is for people only. We don’t even need the dog. We’ll talk about how dogs learn, how to humanely change their behavior, dog-child safety and dog body language. After we’ve answered all your questions on those topics, we’ll begin working with your dog. At this session, we’ll begin teaching your dog how to “say please” by sitting and introduce the foundation skills of “come to me!” and impulse control.
RUNNING START - 4 Sessions
This training package includes THE FIRST STEP plus 3 additional sessions of about an hour each. We review the following behaviors: sit, down, “come to me!”, impulse control with food/toys, door manners, using rewards other than food, and an introduction to leash walking. This training package also includes 24/7 access to the “Client Area” of our web site. There you will find over 50 instructional videos, including the exercises we’ll teach you during our training sessions. Review lessons at your convenience. Or make the most of your training dollars by working ahead. The video library is one of our clients’ favorite parts of our training packages.
TOURING - 8 Sessions
This training package includes RUNNING START plus: loose leash walking with distractions, “settle”, training in public settings (as appropriate for individual dog), “come to me!” with distractions.
JET SET - 12 Sessions plus 2 Tutoring Sessions (14 sessions total)
This training package offers the most support for you and your dog. It includes the TOURING package plus: work with increased distractions, 2 tutoring sessions (training refreshes your dog on his skills) and monthly phone follow-up for 6 months.

"I just had to e-mail you. I am on the computer next to the kitchen and it is VERY quiet in the kitchen so I was a little worried. I peaked over the pass through to see that Viggo was sleeping in his crate with the door open. I nearly died. He was obviously tired and went in there to sleep on his own. YOU ARE QUEEN!!!!!!!!! Thank you so very much!!!!" - Jacqueline (owner of a new puppy who now loves his crate)
TRAINING IN PUBLIC
Need help when you and your dog are out in public? We can train in dog-friendly public settings. Once your dog has good foundation skills, we can even train at the dog park. Real world, practical and effective training.
"If you have ever considered taking a clicker class, but didn't think you were coordinated enough, or that your dog just didn't respond to it, or that it only worked for border collies - TAKE THIS CLASS.... I admit in the beginning I didn't believe some of the things Marge said we would accomplish - but she was right about everything. I now have a whippet who is dying to train and jumps 4 feet in the air when I grab the clicker and treat bag." -Wendy
"The class met and exceeded my expectations. I feel like it opened a whole new way of communicating between my dog and I." - Anonymous
"My favorite part of this course is watching Katie learn and grow right before my eyes (and of course seeing the same thing in myself!)" - Bruce
Seminars - Clicker Training, Bite Prevention, & Continuing Education
"The more I teach agility handlers, the more I realize the value of clicker training and really understanding operant conditioning for performance dogs." - Rhonda Koeske 2010 IFCS World Agility Championships Team USA Member
Champion agility trainers around the world have embraced clicker training. That same enthusiasm for marker training has spread to champion trainers in all dog sports. Dogs and handlers alike gain skills and awareness through clicker training. Handlers learn observation, timing, how to break complex skills into manageable pieces and about cueing. Dogs learn targeting, shaping, how to offer behaviors and resiliency. Rhonda Koeske, 2010 IFCS World Agility Championships Team USA Member, 2008 USDAA Grand Prix Finalist, 2007 AMBOR Agility Champion, 2002 USDAA Grand Prix Finalist, 2002 AMBOR 12″ Agility Champion, sees the value in clicker training for her agility students. Rhonda endorses Marge’s seminars. One and two day seminars available.
"I have been to quite a few seminars and learned from some of the best. My hat goes off to you. You have an incredible gift to communicate with people when it comes to this stuff. I was very impressed and look forward to learning from you." - Brian
"I used some of the tools you have taught us in class in agility on Wed - it was magic! When I wanted her to come to me I used the hand touch and she came straight away! I used the ... follow my hand thing and I can actually get her to follow me places instead of spending forever chasing her down and leashing her up (which she doesn't appreciate!)... THANK YOU!!! Arica
